More than two headline activities
Nyungwe has waterfalls, longer hiking routes, tea landscapes and strong birding. Spending two or three nights provides time to combine a primate activity with a quieter trail instead of treating the forest as a checklist.
Where Nyungwe fits
The park connects naturally with Huye’s cultural sites and the southern shore of Lake Kivu. A private circuit can continue to Karongi or Rusizi without unnecessary backtracking.
